12 Months of Happiness – September 2017

12 months of happiness 2017 is a monthly recap series of all the wonderful things that made me happy every month. If you read the August 2017 recap you will remember I included everything that had happened between January through to July 2017. Whilst the aim is to focus on things that made us happy we shouldn’t be complacent and forget the hard things either. But honestly the world is hard enough without focusing on the bad, so this will only cover the things that brought me happiness. 12 Months of Happiness – September 2017 Recap  September 2017 was such…

{Guest Post} Eco life – why you should go green

At this point, the reasons are pretty clear. Doing minimal effort in contributing to a more Green life style is still something. But everyone is quite accustomed to living their life the easier way. Our society has built itself in a selfish way that would result in our future generations to suffer. Among us is the group of people that knows that, and just doesn’t care, the group who don’t believe in climate change and continue to get lied to and robbed, and many more groups with different opinions weather they are right or not. But for now, forget those…

Top Five Friday – I jogged the half marathon

Participating in a half marathon or a full marathon has to be one of the most exciting things in one can do. I had no intention of participating in one because I had no prepared physically nor mentally. Would I classify this as one of the best decisions in life, no I wouldn’t and couldn’t even if I wanted to. I had shared last week that my sister Lucy would be running, she’s been training even before we were invited to the pre-event. Though running a half marathon wasn’t on her list it was something she could do regardless because…

Top Five Friday – Oxford Half Marathon

The Oxford Half Marathon will be held this Sunday 8th October 2017 starting from Oxford University Parks. For those who are able to attend as a participant or a spectator like me, all the information is HERE. I can not believe it’s already that time for my sister to run the Half Marathon, her first ever. Obviously the original plan was that I should run but I knew I wasn’t going to be ready in time physically and mentally. So my sister decided to take my place and I am so proud of her and very excited. This week’s Top…

Top Five Friday ~ Next Blogger Event

Happy Friday everyone! This day has been long time coming and I am glad to report this week was all joys. Last week my family suffered a double blow; we had a funeral and a burial in one day. To make matters even sadder that very day (Monday 18th September) was my mother’s birthday. We didn’t get to celebrate her birthday, I mean how could we when we were mourning. This week has definitely been much better and I am thankful for your kind words last week. Top Five Friday ~ Next Blogger Event This week’s Top Five Friday is…

Top Five Friday ~ Through the Tears and Smiles

Through the tears and smiles I have endured this week not knowing if I have the strength to face another day. Over the weekend I had known Monday would be a tough day, we had a burial of a close family friend. I didn’t know how one goes about to comfort someone who loses a parent or a loved one. Whilst I was busy fixating on this I didn’t know I would find myself in a similar position of losing a loved one. This ending week has been one filled with tears and smiles and a lot of courage to…

Top Five Friday – Franca Manca Night

Last night my sister and I attended an exclusive dinner and wine tasting at Franco Manca‘s new Oxford pizzeria. It was such an incredible night and we left with so many goodies plus made sourdough pizza. This was mine and my sister’s first time eating sourdough pizza and let me tell you, I am a new convent now. It was such an amazing night, only a handful of bloggers present because the pizzeria was already packed with customers. If you saw this Franco Manca branch, you wouldn’t think they could squeeze 30 people in, let along 80 people. It was…

12 Months of Happiness 2017 ~ August Recap

12 Months of Happiness is a monthly roundup series of things that made me happy in the ended month. I was able to share with you mid-August of my 12 months of happiness for the last nine months. It’s crazy how much I enjoy putting these types of articles together yet I am bad at remembering them. Because I know promising something I have no control over is madness, I will share when I remember. The August Recap of the 12 Months of Happiness will focus on all the good that happened in August 2017. I am an optimist by…

Oxford Foodies Festival starts today and thanks to our sponsor Sparkling Ice, we will be attending it. The festival will be running all through the weekend and I am excited to try out the many food and drink stands. Top Five Friday – Oxford Foodies Festival  Now whilst the Oxford Foodies Festival is the epic thing for today and this…
