The September 2017 Degustabox arrived just after the middle of the month, a little earlier than usual. I have been an on-off subscriber for over 2 years now, it’s always been a hit and miss foodie box for me. Normally I just gobble these delicious treats and don’t make a peep about them. But this month I wanted to share the box contents with you in case you were looking for something new to try. If you want to sign up, use the code {MIRANDAM-11C6} or click on this link to get £7 off your first box. Hello It’s Melanie from Melanie’s Fab Finds.  Miranda was looking for bloggers to do guests posts for her and I thought I would lend a hand. I have been looking to create some gorgeous easy to prepare summery dishes.  My aim to combine ingredients to create dishes full of flavour and numerous nutrients that are beneficial to health. Salmon Fillet(s) with Lentils, Baby Plumb Tomatoes and…

Meddy Steddy Cook

I have recently been given the opportunity to participate in a cooking challenge for the chance to win a fabulous price of a 2 night mini cruise for 2! So naturally I jumped at the chance, this is my kind of thing; the chance to create a new recipe that I probably wouldn’t do if someone doesn’t challenge me to it, ingredients paid for (so essentially a free meal) and I had fun getting my 3 year old son involved and for the chance of this great prize… what’s not to love?! Now I don’t pretend to be a great…

Banana Smoothie

Banana smoothie is one of the easiest and quickest smoothies to make in my opinion and also one of the most customisable smoothies. I am a huge lover of smoothies but usually stay clear of them in winter time since most require you use ice in them. So today I decided to make a smoothie minus the ice and use only a few ingredients which I had in my kitchen. This recipe is simple, quick and easy and once you’ve made your Banana smoothie, you can sit back, relax and enjoy your drink with no care in the world. I…

{Recipe} Simple overnight oats

Ever since I featured a picture of my overnight oats many people have been asking me how I make mine. Mine are nothing special but they are very delicious, nutritious and really fill you up. I usually have mine for breakfast but on odd occasions I have them for lunch or super too. I started making overnight oats about a year ago now when I got tired of buying the same when I could actually make them and save me a lot of money. I am not saying I don’t like the store bought ones I am saying I prefer…

{Healthy Eating} Breakfast an important meal of the day

They say breakfast is an important meal of the day but in this day and age most of us do not even have 5 minutes to sit down in the morning and eat breakfast (whether healthy or not) later on prepare the meal. I have a 9-5 job so you could say I really should have time to sit and eat my breakfast but in reality I do not. By the time I wake up, shower and dress it’s time to run out of the house and walk to the station to catch my bus to work. When I do…

Meal Plan ~ Chicken and Eggplant

Last week I shared with you why I started my meal plan and some of the foods that I cook, my favourite being chilli beef. On Saturday I went food shopping for the month and I picked up some diced chicken fillets which were on sale and a few other things including my mince, eggplant and pork for my all time home made delicacies. Today I wanted to share my meal plan for this week (Monday and Tuesday) since I won’t be home rest of the week until Sunday.I can not recall the last time I ate eggplant so much…

Meal Plan

A few months ago after I returned from my trip to visit my friends and family in Zambia I decided to make a change in my life. I got tired of spending almost £30 every week to buy ready meals for the week since I could not be bothered to cook. I now spend about £30 a month of food and since it’s just me its a good amount. I buy meats in bulk and buy fresh veggies every week for my salads which I surprisely eat daily to accompany all my foods or by themselves. #chilli #meatballs jalapeños pickled…

{Food Box} January 2015 Degustabox

For the last 7 months I have been receiving the monthly subscription food box called Degustabox. Whilst I like all the food boxes I get, the January 2015 degustabox has to be my favourite so far. The January 2015  degustabox has everything that I love and use all the time which has saved me money from the monthly food shop. As I write this I am only left with the cake mix only which I am preserving for a night-in I am planning. I honestly loved each and every single product,…
