Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter with SimplyBe

    staple wardrobe essentials for winter

The start of Decmber is often a signifier that Autumn is on its last legs and Winter is in full swing. Thanks to SimplyBe, I have been challenged to share my Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter. When ever Winter arrives, I become a hermit and rarely go out but I have to work for a living. Therefore I am often forced to drive to work or attend the dreaded wonderful Christmas Parties. I was therefore happy to accept this challenge to share my Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter.

All the items that have been included in this article are items that I personally picked from SimplyBe. The idea is to showcase some of the items SimplyBe has in their Autumn/Winter collection. And I thought it was a neat idea to curate a list of Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter. These are items that I always fall back on come Autumn/Winter season.

    Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter

I don’t know about you but when it comes to cooler weather, I would rather be at home in the warmth. But that doesn’t often happen as I have to go out and about for both my day job and blogging commitments. Because of that, I have found a solution in dressing appropriately for the weather. Below are some items I chose from SimplyBe which are Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter.

{1} Black/White Lightweight Contrast Geometric Print Parka

When it comes to outerwear, I am easily pleased and wanted to pick something I can wear over anything. The print parka was exactly what I was after and looks good paired with skinny jeans and ankle boots. I am a sucker for a simple but cute looking outfit and outerwear is an integral part of it.

Effortlessly chic and easy to wear, it features an adjustable drawcord to the hood and the waist, a contrast colour lining, zip up front, two pockets and slit detailing.

    {2} Puff Sleeve Stretch Bodycon

When I started working in the corporate world, I always dressed in suits as I thought that was most suitable. Fast forward a few years and realised I can still look smartly dressed if I chose the right items. Though I often wear trousers, I also love to mix it up with some Bodycon dresses and skirts too. I love this piece form SimplyBe because it’s not only stretchy but great fitting too.

{3} Sunday Side Zip Boots Wide E Fit

I am a sucker for a good pair of ankle boots, I am slowly building up and collection. Ankle boots are one of the most versatile footwear that one can own in their wardrobe. For this outfit and the time of year, I knew ankle boots on a nice bodycon dress would work perfectly.

These block-heel side zip boots are a staple in your wardrobe collection. Dress these versatile ankle boots up or down, for work or leisure.

{4} Naturally Close 2 Pack Black 200 Denier Tights

I have often remarked on how I don’t like wearing tights but when Autumn/Winter comes, I change my mind. The weather of late has been super chill and made sense to add some tights to my wardrobe. I like these from SimplyBe as they have not been itchy nor slide down.

Our 2 pack 200 denier tights are perfect for everyday wear with their supersoft microfibre stretch fabric and high rise stretch waist giving a smooth finish and ultimate comfort.

{5} L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Rosewood

When I was young I used to watch my mother prepare to leave to house regardless of the destination. One thing I noticed was she never left the house without wearing lipstick, it was never done. Fast forward to my 13th birthday I got my first lipstick and since then I don’t leave the house without lipstick on. Over the last few years, I have been wearing L’Oreal lipsticks, the lipstick is long lasting and perfect for this season.

Shade 302 – Rosewood. L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick gives you a rich luxurious colour, perfect for any occasion. Its rich formula is enriched with a combination of Omega-3 and Vitamin E and leaves your lips feeling moisturised and cared for.

I am so in love with the items I chose and received from SimplyBe, for me, they are Staple Wardrobe Essentials for Winter. What items would you have included in your essentials list for winter?

    It’s Time To Treat Yourself

    Time to treat yourself

So, traditionally speaking, this time of year just isn’t the time of year that you should be treating yourself. It’s the time of year when all you can think about is running around the shops, trying to treat anyone but yourself. Don’t think we’re being dramatic either. Some people take this time of year so seriously, that it can really play on their minds as to what they’re getting people, and whether they’re getting people enough!

It’s also about stocking the fridge as full as it can possibly go, buying so much wine that Jesus could feed the world, and cleaning the house ten times a day to make sure ‘the mess doesn’t build up over Christmas’. Genuinely things we’re all doing at the minute, and genuinely things we’ll continue to do for the rest of our lives. But, amidst all of this madness and chaos, when are you going to be able to take some time to treat yourself?

We bet you’re thinking, well where will this money come from? Well, where will this time come from!? Well, that’s what we’re here to try and show you today. Having a bit of your time, and actually treating yourself just isn’t as hard as you might think. Grab a cup of coffee (we know you need an energy boost), and have a read of the treat yourself tips we’ve got below.

    Time to treat yourself

    Do What You Do Best

If you’re really going to treat yourself, you just need to do what you do best. No, we don’t mean the cooking, the cleaning, and the ironing. That’s what you and your family think you should do best. We’re talking about the things you truly used to do best. Before you felt like life actually took over your life… the good old days as it were. Ok, so this might be the last thing on your mind right now, but a lot of you will have loved to take care of yourself. You will have liked going to gym classes, or dare we say it… actually doing your own workout at the gym.

You will have liked all of your beauty days, you will have liked trying out new products. This is what you should be focusing on… you! If you’re going to treat yourself, we think you should start with a new bath bomb, face mask, face scrub, face wash, moisturisers for both your face and your body, and a hair mask. So, this might have just sounded like spend, spend spend, are we right? Well, you can get all of that for less than £20 if you shop right. But what you will then hold in your hand is the ultimate pamper night, followed by many fabulous pamper nights. There is nothing better than treating yourself by running a nice hot bath, using a super lovely smelling bath bomb, and giving your skin a good cleanse. We know you will just feel amazing afterwards, so treat yourself and give it a go!

You Don’t Have To Splash So Much Cash

Just because we’ve spoken about treating yourself, it doesn’t mean that you have to spend so much money. Sometimes, it’s about the smaller things in life that we can do, that won’t impact our finances much, but will definitely make a great impact on your life. Think of all of the things that you’ve seen in the shops as of late, have wanted so bad, but have turned down because you think you shouldn’t buy it yourself. We bet that a ton of things has come up in your mind, so just pick out one of them. One we’re sure you all get from time to time is phone envy.

As soon as you get yours on contract and you’ve had it a few months, it just isn’t as good as it first way, are we right?! But, you’re tied into a contract that you just can’t get out of unless you cough up a lot of money, so you’re stuck with that phone until your contract is up. What’s one solution that we think works well? A SIM only contract. It’s so much better to do this than to put your money into a contract. Yes, you have to save to buy the phone, but at least with SIM only deals, you can sell the phone as quickly as you like to get a new one again. You’re only paying for the SIM with this! The deals are always so much cheaper than the eye-watering prices that companies charge for a phone to be on contract each month as well.

It’s little things like this that you can treat yourself to when needed if you look for the cheaper option. If you feel as though you can’t afford things, there will always be a way to cut the costs. For example, if you need a new TV, have a look at new in box ones on eBay. You’ll find they’re a fraction of the price that you would find in the store!

The Simple Things That Makes Us Happy

Sometimes it’s not all about spending money. In fact, sometimes it’s not about doing anything at all, it’s about really focusing on you and the things that you enjoy. As you get a little older, and perhaps you start your own family, you will soon come to realise that you lose touch with the things that used to make you, you. So, you might have been someone who loved reading a book, or you might have been someone who loved going to the gym.

Whatever you used to have a passion about, you need to try to reconnect with. For some of you, it will be the simple pleasure of being able to run a bath, light some candles, and literally, soak away the troubles of a day. When you have children running rings around you, the simple drop of happiness is one that seems to be snatched away from you!

    Try Something New!

Sometimes the best way of treating yourself is to do something that you’ve never done before. It’s the unknown that we usually fear, but once we give something ago, we’re generally opened up to a world of fun. For example, have you always been afraid of the gym, and fitness in general? Well, why not join a club rather than a gym.

Even if you don’t have a clue how to do what you’re doing, there will be plenty of time to learn. Or, if sports definitely is a massive no-no for you, then why not think about doing something like art. Painting can be such a great hobby to get yourself in to, and you don’t even have to know what you’re doing. Just getting one of those painting books is enough for some people. It’s just a really therapeutic escape from life.

    Some R & R

Sometimes a little R & R is just needed. Sometimes you just need to get away from it all, forget about life, and truly relax. What is the key to this in our eyes? It’s a spa day. Nothing says relax and rejuvenation like a spa day does. You can literally melt all of your troubles away, be pampered up to your eyeballs, and have a luxurious little stay out of it. There are some top class spas all around the country, some even worth travelling to try! You can even bring your partner along because we know all men secretly enjoy a good spa day!

5 Tips How to get Fabulous Athletic Footwear on a Tight Budget

    Fabulous Athletic Footwear

    Fabulous Athletic Footwear

We all love having trendy sneakers. Not only do the latest Adidas shoes make us look good, they make us feel good with the best in sneaker innovation and technology. But sometimes our bank account won’t let us buy the latest athletic sneakers at this moment. What’s a bargain shopper to do? Well here are some professional tips to buying awesome shoes on a super tight budget!

    Buy Your Shoes Online

Yes! Believe it or not, the easiest way to save money on buying the latest sneaker releases is by buying your shoes online! Why? You can save up to forty percent off the retail shoe prices when buying online. When you buy shoes at a store, you are limited by the number of shoes they have in stock. This isn’t too much of a problem if you have a popular shoe size. But many of us find that the shoe that we want just isn’t available in our size or that it is way outside our budget. By buying online you can save significant cash. Every shoe is available almost all the time in almost any size and a little online searching will help you find the best bargains without having to leave your house!

    Review the Reviews

Nothing is worse than buying a shoe and finding out that it is a total lemon. Avoid this by scouring online reviews. Make a short list of the top ten shoes that you like. Now you can go online and find them on sale. Avoid buying any shoes that have low ratings, way too many complaints, or don’t have any reviews. Any of these issues can help you save money by avoiding poorly made footwear.

    Sock it Away

Really, really want a certain sneaker but don’t have the money? Don’t bring out your charge card. Instead, save the money for your shoes slowly. For example, maybe the Adidas sneaker you want costs one hundred dollars. Then sock away twenty dollars a month for five months. Save the money by forgoing something else. For example, maybe you skip buying pizza once a month, avoid buying new clothes or accessories for five months or skip buying coffee every day at your favourite coffee shop. At the end of five months, you can buy your sneakers with no worries.

Wait on Buying the Latest Trends

We all want to look fabulous. However, if you buy the trendiest footwear the instant it comes out, you often pay significantly more. Wait a few months and you will find that the price will come down significantly. Then enjoy your trendy sneakers just as everyone else’s is starting to look a bit run down.

    Holiday Sales

We all love Christmas shopping! Holiday sales are the absolute best time to buy sneakers. The number of incredible deals and rock bottom prices are astounding. Save even more money by stocking up on sneakers for the whole family.

Save big bucks by being smart when you buy your fabulous footwear! With a little bit of shopping savvy, you can enjoy your sneakers without breaking the bank.

How To Finance A New Year Getaway

    Finance A New Year Getaway

    Finance A New Year Getaway

After all the rush and bustle of the Christmas season, many of us are actually left craving the escape of a New Year’s break. And while it’s a great idea to recharge your batteries and make some more memories before going back to work, the problem can be how to finance it. The holidays can be a big drain on finances, so you could be forgiven for wondering how you can pay for a break as well, however much you need one. Luckily, there is a way to enjoy your Christmas and still be able to escape for the New Year.

    Do Your Research

It might be tempting to just snap up the first rock-bottom plane tickets you see, and although there are some bargain airfares to be had, this approach could actually end up costing you more if you don’t do a little groundwork. Because it’s not just the cost of flights – you need to make sure that you can sort purse-friendly accommodation, transport, food and activities at your destination as well.

Use the power of the web to find the best budget attractions and look into whether there is a hostel accommodation – they’ve come into the new century since the ones you remember from Duke of Edinburgh, and some of the nicer ones these days can pass for a boutique hotel. Also, try to pick somewhere that is centrally located for the activities you want to do, so you can either walk and sightsee on the way or use hire bikes and public transport to get around rather than expensive taxis.

    Consider A Road Trip

Jetting off isn’t the only way to get your much-needed break – planning a road trip can be a great bonding experience for you and your partner or a group of friends and is a great way to see a bit more of the country. Whether you choose to strap on your leathers and go on a motorbike tour or pack up a rental 4X4 with a group of friends and explore the countryside.

There are so many great destinations, plus you get complete control of your itinerary and where you choose to stay. All you need is a reliable set of wheels, so check out weekend car rentals or motorbike finance from Superbike Loans, make your on the road playlist and get exploring.

    Secure Those Spends

While travel costs and accommodation are obvious things to look for deals on, you can also make savings when it comes to your spending money for the trip. Exchanging currency can get quite expensive, due to the fees that bureaus charge to do the transaction. These are often much worse at the airport, where you are a captive audience. Try to minimise these costs too by comparing exchange rates online before you get your Euros or other foreign currency.

If you travel frequently, you can also get a card designed for overseas use to cut costs. Make sure that you understand what each denomination of notes look like before you leave – it’s easy to hand over the wrong money when you’re in a hurry and working in a currency you aren’t familiar with, and you can lose out on a lot of cash this way. Keeping a currency converter app on your phone will help you to check prices on the go and make sure you aren’t overpaying for meals and souvenirs.

    Doing More With Your Money

    Doing More With Your Money

    Doing More With Your Money

Money is a big part of what makes the world go round, and because of that, it’s very important that you have a think about how to do more with your money in a way that benefits you the most. There are plenty of options out there, but only some of them will cater to you and your circumstances so it’s important to explore as many options as you can until you find what’s right for you. Remember that money is a very quick changing thing, and you can start out with so much of it, only to lose it all in a matter of seconds. And sometimes if you’re lucky, it can work out in the opposite way too. This is rare, but not impossible, so always look up and think about the future as it’s forever changing.

So here are some ideas as to what you can do with your money for now.

    Increase the number

While there are many possibilities of how you can spend your money, why not think more about how to increase it? Even if you’re pretty well off doesn’t mean that you have to stop where you are. There’s nothing wrong with getting a second job – just something part-time to keep you busy and have that extra income to give you more financial freedom. You can even make money from home by selling any things that you no longer need or use. Remember that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure.

    Start a fund

You never know when you may need a large sum of money to pay for something. It could be a serious reason like needing to fork out for medical expenses, or it may be because you want to put a deposit down on a house, buy a new car, go on holiday for a couple of weeks, or maybe even start a college fund for your little one for when they’re older. Regardless of what your reasons are, there will always be a time in the future where you wish that you had some decent money put to one side for when you need it.

    Get into trading

Trading is a very competitive and fast-paced industry to get into, as well as being rather hit and miss. A big part of trading is the risk that you take. You see, when buying and selling financial instruments like stocks and bonds, you can never be one hundred per cent sure as to whether you’re going to come away making a fair bit of money, or end up losing it all. But this is why you will want to look into what the best day trading platform is so that you have a better chance at being successful.

Now that you have a few examples of ideas, think about what makes more sense to you depending on the kind of situation you’re in. If multiple things appeal to you, try them all out and think of it as a trial and error process.

Since When Do Good Deeds Never Pay Off?

    good deed

    good deed

Elbow on the table, chin in your palm and thinking about what you should do with your life? Join the club, there are millions of people who don’t know what they should be doing for a living. Many of us just do what we have always done and never think twice about it. Those are the people who will realise later on in life, that they should have always followed what they wanted to do and not what society, their family or friends thought they should do. It’s never ever too late, however, because there is always an outlet where you can reignite your passion and go for something that you love doing. What if you’re the type of person that wants to help people for a living? Careers such as these are always in fashion and even during economic hard times, people will still want services that cater to their well-being. Good deeds can pay off, quite literally.

    Advancing to physical therapy

People who have had life-altering injuries need physical therapy to recover back to health properly. Even after operations and plenty of bed rest, they will need to be given extra support in reaffirming their limbs, joints and cognitive skills. Motor skills culminate all of these into one when it comes to physical therapy, which is why the job of physical therapy nurse is so highly respected and paid. You can expect an average salary of around £37,000 but the best nurses will often be retained by hospitals for around £42,000 annually.

What does it take to become such an advanced nurse? You will first need to become a registered nurse which can be done at the Royal College of Nursing. After a few years of showing your worth, you can then go for a master’s degree in nursing which will allow you to gain the skills required to undertake physical therapy sessions with patients on your own. You can also be called out to homes with this kind of degree and responsibility, which is useful for patients with chronic pain.

    Flushing and crushing

Thanks to video-sharing websites like YouTube, there’s been a great deal of interest in the massage world. There are literally millions and millions of views of videos that show all different kinds of techniques to heal the skin, the pores, joints, limbs and nerves in our bodies just through the power of our own hands. Perhaps this is why there is one key massage technique or style that has gotten the most attention lately which is the deep tissue style. Moreover, sports massage is the right category as this kind style is mainly for people who have issues in their muscle groups and structures.

You can find out how to enter the sports massage career path by reading the official 2018 guide. It goes through the demand for sports massage therapists, the qualifications you need, the job opportunities and indeed what you salary will look like. However, firstly you must have an interest in helping people through a different kind of way. Sports massages are a style that flushes out toxins and waste fluids and also crushes knots in the muscle fibres. No pain no gain is the motto of deep tissue therapy. Nothing is out-of-bounds as ligaments, tendons and nerves are all massaged but done so without endangering the patient in any way. Obviously, this requires knowledge of the human anatomy and the ability to safely apply sharp and heavy pressure.

    First on the scene

You don’t have to be a nurse or a doctor to help people with first aid professionally. Events such as music concerts will often need many more people than just an ambulance crew on standby to help anyone who might need quick medical attention. Becoming the first aider will allow you to work independently and go to various events as support staff for the medical team. You’ll be dealing with controlling blood loss, helping those with head trauma, people who have fainted and generally helping someone get to the ambulance safely. As one of the first on the scene, you’ll be taking charge of a situation and responding to help potentially save someone’s life. If you can deal with high-pressure situations and want to help people when they are in need of professional care at events, this kind of job is great as a freelancer.

Good deeds as career paths will always pay off. Salaries in the healthcare industry in the UK are set to rise as nurse pay is soon going to be the first to increase. But, decide on what kind of care you would like to give and determine your interests in a particular field first.

6 top tips for travelling to busy cities

    travelling to busy cities

    travelling to busy cities

Visiting a busy city can be a particularly overwhelming and difficult experience if you aren’t prepared. There are many ways to make it much easier for yourself. Here are six top tips for travelling to busy cities.

    Don’t overpack

A city break doesn’t need a big suitcase. Try and condense your packing into a smaller, more manageable and less stressful bag or holdall. It’ll make transporting it through the airport into the city much easier, and won’t have you overwhelmed in choosing what to wear during your stay.

Make sure you plan out your outfits for your trip before you pack, and bring just the essentials. In reality, you’ll be spending most of your time exploring the city – you won’t need to bring tons of gadgets, accessories and other extra bits that you might consider on a longer holiday elsewhere.

Bring a portable charger for your mobile

When exploring a busy city, you’ll likely be using your phone a lot. Whether it’s for navigation, taking photos, making plans or anything else, your phone will be your most important companion during your trip. That’s why it’s crucial you’re bringing a portable charger with you.

You don’t want to be left in the dark when exploring a busy city. And although you’ll more than likely be fine to go without, your phone will be extremely helpful during your break. You also can’t miss any Instagram opportunities!

    Wear comfortable clothing

A city break brings with it a lot of walking. So it’s crucial you’re wearing clothing which won’t prove to be uncomfortable after a long day. Avoid tight jeans or tops, as well as unsuitable shoes – heels and smart shoes, will cause problems when walking around all day.

Keep it casual with loose-fitting, free-flowing clothing and trainers. It’ll be much more comfortable when spending long days exploring a busy city.

Walk as much as you can

Speaking of walking, it’s best to stay on your feet during a city break instead of opting for trams, buses or taxis. The beauty of visiting a busy city is discovering new, exciting and hidden locations throughout that weren’t previously on your radar. Every city from New York City to Bangkok has underrated spots tucked away that you’d miss if you didn’t explore.

    Be spontaneous

Try to avoid making a strict itinerary when visiting a busy city. It’ll leave you with no room to enjoy things that you discover during your stay – whether it’s a restaurant, an activity or a whole district you weren’t previously aware of, being spontaneous allows you to explore at your own free will and really make the most of your surroundings, as echoed by 1Cover.

You’ll likely have a select few things you do want to see, though. Be sure to leave enough time to fit those in.

…but book some restaurants and activities in advance

Perhaps it’d help if you booked things in advance. This way you’ll avoid the disappointment of there not being enough space in a restaurant, for example, and you’ll also have certain times to stick to – whilst also leaving enough time to be spontaneous and explore.

A city break requires that perfect balance. Follow the above tips and you’ll be able to make the absolute most of a busy city.

Prepare your car for Summer Road Trips – MOT

    road trips
Summer is well and truly underway and most of us have road trips planned. I am yet to meet a person who doesn’t enjoy road trips with family and friends. Personally, I am not too keen on being the driver but happy to alternate and always enjoy family road trips. But before we can jump into the car and be off to our destination, it is important to make sure you’ve prepared the car.
One thing that can ruin a road trip is the car breaking down on the motorway. Yes, there are plenty of companies that can tole your car but best be safe than sorry. Before I take my car on any long journey, I always make sure that I have checked my car. I can’t lie apart from visually inspecting my car tyres, I rarely check the car for anything else. Thankfully, my car’s computer system checks everything before I set off. Another important thing I do is take my car for its yearly service. And other times I use Kwik Fit to perform the MOT checks on my car. Not many people are aware of the importance of MOT checks, in this post we share some tips.
    road trips

Importance of MOT for your car!

The importance of a valid MOT certificate cannot be overemphasized. It is a legal requirement in the UK that all vehicles over 3 years have a valid MOT certificate to move on the roads. The government website describes an MOT as a ‘check on the vehicle that meets road safety and environmental standards’.
    • Whenever people drive on the roads, they want to reach their destinations safely. Although not exclusive as regards road accidents, the roadworthiness of the vehicle is mandatory in the UK. Granted, there are many factors that contribute to accidents on the roads, the vehicle, however, should not run without a valid MOT certificate.
    • Road safety would be achieved by all players correctly doing their individual bit. Environmental concerns come to the fore in that vehicles pollute the air through the exhaust gases released. If this was left unchecked soon the whole environment would become unbearable for all – motorists and non-motorists included.
    • As part of the checks carried out at an MOT testing centre, the environment is considered a crucial element. The MOT testing normally recommends attention to some aspects of the vehicle found wanting. This would either pass or fail the vehicle. Soon enough, repairs would be needed to meet pass standard.
    road trips
Quite often, some people mistake this for a regular service. However, the manufacturer sets times when particular vehicles must be serviced. This runs contra to an MOT test and is not a substitute for a regular service. The government stipulates that an invalid MOT certificate carries a fine up to £1000.00.
Besides that, an insurance company would not cover a vehicle without a valid MOT certificate. That’s how important a valid MOT certificate can be. Make sure you check your vehicle has a valid MOT certificate before making any travel plans.

    Get the Wedding You Want

    Get the Wedding You Want

    Get the Wedding You Want

Getting married is a beautiful thing but it can also be stressful. This is probably the biggest event you will ever have to manage and trying to figure out the best way to finance the day and get everything you want may take it out of you.

But instead of getting into a tizz, and panicking about how to match your wedding band to your engagement ring or stressing about the food, here is a quick guide to getting your priorities straight.

    Decide What You Really Want

The first thing you should do is decide what you both really want. Though often the bride has most of the preferences, this day should be a celebration of you both, not just a recreation of your Pinterest board!

Talk about the type of music you would like to have and visit to see the sort of bands you could hire for the day. Discuss which foods you want to have and whether you want a huge 3 tiered cake or a stand full of individual cupcakes instead.

Don’t feel that you have to have anything remotely similar to your friends or family, either. This is your day so feel free to do exactly what you want.

    DIY to Save Your Budget

The more you can do yourself, the more money you will save. Luckily, DIY decorations and weddings are very fashionable at the moment and there are lots and lots of ideas you can borrow such as making pompom decorations or using jam jars for, well, everything!

The more you can do yourself, the more money you will inevitably save but you don’t necessarily need to be artistic to manage. There are all kinds of centrepieces you can make simply by assembling a few items together with a couple of flower stems. Similarly, making bunting is surprisingly simple, you just need some scrap fabric, a length of ribbon and some patience.

But decorations aren’t the only thing you can DIY. Instead of putting on an expensive meal, why not try doing something more creative like build your own tacos or what about getting a couple of food trucks instead? When there are no rules, you can do whatever makes you feel good.

    Ask For Help!

This might be your wedding but that doesn’t mean that you have to do everything yourself. Asking friends and family to get involved by giving out tasks is a nice way to let people get more involved while ensuring that the day is more personalized. For example, you could ask a friend with nice handwriting to create the table plan and name cards.

Another nice idea is to have a pre-wedding party where you and some friends get together to make up for favours and decorations. This is a lovely way to have some bonding time before the big day and a fun activity too. Stick a rom-com on and pop some bubbles to make this another night to remember!

    Celebrity Style and Office Chair

    office chair

One of the most incredible things about having Flexi work option at my day job is I can work from home. Often I spend a few times a week working from home and also on weekends working on my blogs. Because I can work from home I thought I invest into a home office in my rented apartment. But being limited on space and funds has left me with tough decisions. Regardless I am able to function as best as I can, but I still have a long home office wish list.

One thing that prompted me to share this article isn’t just because my behind could do with new office chair. But rather I was intrigued by the e-book Furniture-work have put together, talking about celebrity styles and chairs. I for one didn’t know you could pair a celebrities style to a chair design, well learnt something new. I will share a snippet of the e-book but be sure to check it out for yourself.

    Celebrity Styles and Office Chairs

Most of us admire celebrities and their sense of style aided by their entourage of stylists. Even then its still nice to recreate some of the styles that they wear in the public eye. At my work I can honestly say the office space has dull chairs, but with a bit of celebrity style we can revamp it. The snippets from the e-book I mentioned are what celebrity and their style match which office chair.

Victoria Beckham – her style and fashion sense is incredible, I admire her except her heels. They are too high just looking at them I get slightly dizzy but her style is incredible. If her style was to be added to the office it would be the red leather chair. I can definitely see it with Victoria as knows how to manage her colour coordination.

Rihanna – not only is she a fashionista, she’s a talented artist too and love her music. Her style is always vibrant and chic, very trendy and always with sophistication. Her style transcribed into an office chair it would be one with bold colours and centre of attention.

Definitely check out the e-book to read on about the other celebrity styles and how those are translated. I was definitely impressed by the styling and how it was transcribed into an office environment. Personally I am on a hunt for filling cabinets + Furniture At Work seems to be just the ticket.
