Top Five Friday ~ Next Blogger Event

Happy Friday everyone! This day has been long time coming and I am glad to report this week was all joys. Last week my family suffered a double blow; we had a funeral and a burial in one day. To make matters even sadder that very day (Monday 18th September) was my mother’s birthday. We didn’t get to celebrate her birthday, I mean how could we when we were mourning. This week has definitely been much better and I am thankful for your kind words last week.

Top Five Friday ~ Next Blogger Event

This week’s Top Five Friday is a mixture of all awesome things that happened from last Saturday. I will also share some other things that are yet to happen, without further ado here is the Top Five Friday.

Next Blogger Event – I am excited to be attending the Next store’s blogger event in Shoreditch London today. It’s been 2 years since I last week to my first Next Blogger Event. The line up of bloggers sharing their expertise hasn’t changed much since the first time I went. But regardless I am still looking forward to it.

Veeno Reading – Yesterday a lovely email dropped onto my mailbox asking if we would like to review Veeno in Reading. Internally I said yes but since they said I could bring plus one I asked my sister and she is game. So we’ve booked ourselves to review Veeno Reading – a wine tasting Italian restaurant.

National Trust Membership

Yesterday whilst planning what else we can do with our Saturday I opted to check out local attractions. Reading has so much to offer but I was after something like Basildon Park which is not far from me. In doing that I decided to join the national trust so I can visit as many castles, Parks, beaches and attractions.

Surprise visits – As mentioned last week was a painful week for my family I didn’t know how much it affected me until later. Obviously my mother did and she started concocting a plan to visit my sister and I. When they turned up last Saturday I was so surprised and happy, previously I had felt drained but seeing them gave me energy. We had lunch at mine before we drove to Blenheim Palace and spent a couple of hours before they went home.

Birthdays – So my mum’s birthday was a disaster due to the funerals and we never really got to celebrate. This Sunday is my daddy’s birthday and I am not sure what to get him (yes it’s last minute). Then my sister-in-law is planning a mega 5th birthday for my nephew for November with Shrek theme. As guests we are all expected to dress as one of the characters and I am thinking I dress as puss in boots or donkey. 🤣🤣😂
