{Review} The December Period Box

Last week I shared with you my first box which was the November Period Box, I became aware of this type of service being offered in the UK via another blogger whilst perusing the lands of Bloglovin.

Period box

Since I did not get a chance to explain it better in my last post here is another try of it. The period box is a UK service that brings the convenience of always having your period necessities at the right time every month.

With every box you will get a selection of premium teas, chocolates from artisan manufacturers and high-end beauty samples. You will also receive a unique design gift or a beautiful art print by our featured artist of the month. – The Period Box

The beauty about the period box is that you can mix & match the box to your liking, you can either have all pads, all tampons or you can mix and have half of each but additional survival items can be added.

December period box

I honestly believe someone who has just started their period this is the perfect box for them, look at the contents that can be found in the starter kit:

  • 6x teens day & 4x teens night towels
  • 1x teens liners pouch (4 liners)
  • 1 pack of regular teens tampons (12 tampons)
  • 1 pack of regular teens applicator tampons (10 tampons)
  • 1 pack of teens freshen-up wipes
  • Book “Girls Only! All About Periods and Growing-Up Stuff”
  • A super-cute canvas pouch for supplies
  • Surprise gifts & goodies

For those of us who have been having periods for yonkers you get a selection of different items for only £17.95 (P&P). In the December Period Box (2015), I got the following items which is similar to what I got in my November Period Box but different goodies:

 Womankind Tea

Maca Bliss Raw choc brownie

Baked veggie crisps roast tomato & spanish paprika

Detox Mud: Pore cleanse mud mask

Refreshing face wash

Christmas scent melts

Pads ~ Day & Night

As I mentioned in the November Period Box this is a monthly subscription service but you can also get it for a friend as a one time gift (£24.95) or as a starter kit for any teenager (£29.95) or for yourself on a monthly basis (£17.95).

What do you think of the contents of my December Period Box?

  • This one is pretty unique and essential. I think the price is pretty reasonable too

  • I love this. I wish I would have known for my girls. I created one for them complete with a robe and slippers. This is such a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

    • That’s awesome that you created them a care package but I am loving this period box loads

  • Awesome this is exactly what I was looking to purchase for my daughter who is about to turn 10. I wanted to have a care package for her for the just in case moments especially if she’s in school or spending the night at a friends or family members. I will have to look into this to purchase.

    • Thats a great idea, I am sure she will love it

  • Interesting and practical idea.

Wow I would love this convenient way of handling my period!

    • That was my thought exactly, ended up signing up same day no regrets

  • This is genius! Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner! I don’t have regular periods now because of health reasons but I would have definitely bought this box when I did!

  • I love that they add extras to make it slightly more bearable!

    • I know right! so thoughtful of them

  • Well now I’ve seen it all. Where was this when I first started. It’s a cute way to take away the yuckiness of it all 😀

    • Hahaha I know right, I wish they had this when I started

  • This is the first time I heard o a period box. I think this is a great idea. I wish I had this when I started my period.

    • I agree it is an awesome idea

  • I always prepare my daughter for her cycle for a few months with the things I know will help her get through that time with as little fan fare and as much ease as possible. Womankind tea is on that list, and so is good reading material about the things that make us women. This is a good service and I certainly wish I had thought of it years ago.

    • Sounds like you’re doing what most of us would have loved to receive at that time.

  • This is great. I should look into it some more.

  • Period box is a convenient idea. It will be of great help to me in those days.

  • i think these are so great for those starting out on their period journeys

    • I agree and everyone else too

  • This is not for me anymore but might have served a purpose back in the day.

    • Awww bless, it’s certainly serving its purpose for me currently

  • Elizabeth O.

This is definitely helpful for teens who have just started with their periods. They need all the support they can get!

  • This box would not be a happy one to receive. When it comes in the mail it means the witch is on the way.

    • Hahaha nice one Tara, I am not a big fan of the witch either but I still love this box

  • Oh my gosh, this literally has everything a woman could need during her time of the month! Without having to go to the store! Awesome!

    • This is one of the reasons I am loving it big time

  • This would have been helpful when I started my period!

    • I find it useful even now

  • I just had a baby so I haven’t needed anything like this for 9 months. But I will definitely be looking in to it now.

  • My grand daughter just started her cycle so I need to check into getting this for her. It’s hard to believe she’s old enough to need these things.

    • Time seems to fly by when you having fun, my cousin is reaching that stage too and its shocking

  • Great idea to have these boxes handy.

  • This is such a good idea! I wish I had one of these when I started my period! x

    • It is isn’t it? I am loving it
